50 Excellent Blog Footers

Footers are becoming an essential part of a blog design and rightfully so. Up until the last year or two, they have been a useless space which hardly anyone paid attention to. Now they are becoming an essential strategy to engage visitors in all sorts of creative ways.

Hongkait.com has put together a nice list of 50 Excellent Blog Footer Designs which will give you some great ideas on how to style your existing footer. I personally enjoy scrolling down to the bottom of sites I visit just to see the type of footer they use. The current eBlog Templates footer layout was influenced from several different sites with a goal of providing our visitors quick popular information across all pages and a chance to see your own myBlogLog picture on our site!

My favorite ones include a clever design with 3-4 columns of functional information like these for example.

hi david…I came across your site today.I am really amazed by the sheer quality of content posted here.Hats off to you !!
I have read many of your articles on blogger today itself.There is just one thing i could not find.In your left sidebar there is a beautiful multi tab viewer where u have your popular posts,latest,comments and tags.
Can you please give a quick tutorial on how to create this for blogger templates.There are others available on the net but nothing is as good as this one…really love it !!Will really appreciate your help.

@Kartik – Thanks for the compliments. The left sidebar I built uses some advanced javascript which isn’t easy to add to Blogger. I’ll see about writing a post on how-to create a gadget for it. Come back later or just subscribe to our rss feed to get the latest articles & templates!

@karmin, to increase your page rank you need to get other sites with a higher rank to link to you. That usually happens when you write good blog content or ask others to link to you.
