Blogy is a great and functional Web 2.0 Blogger template. It’s got two right sidebars so you can easily add Google Adsense or another advertisement block. It also has a cool mouse over tab function which is pretty uncommon for Blogger templates. You’ll need to go into the template code and edit a few areas though. It’s the right side above both the sidebars which is easy to change.

All images are hosted so just download the template and install!

Also, in order to get the date for each post formatted correctly you need to make the following change (if you don’t already have it set this way).

  • Go to “Settings” => “Formatting”
  • Then change “Date Header Format” to this format – “12 January 2008”
  • Then change “Timestamp Format” to this format – “Friday, March 28, 2008” (Thanks for the correction Andrew)

Your date on each post should now display correctly. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below!

John, read the description on how to properly set your date above. Once you make those changes, you’ll see the date working. Make sure to change the right one as there are two people usually get confused with.

thanks for the cute template. I already used it but i have a problem with the date. The date format already set follow the intruction but the date still not appear 🙁

The date instructions are actually wrong 😳
You need to do the following:

1. Go to “Settings” => “Formatting”
2. Then change “Timestamp Format” to this format – “Friday, March 28, 2008″

the dates working, thanks andrew. now my problem is the header. how can i change it? do i need to use photoshop?

For the logo you need to use Photoshop or just get another image you’d like to use. The title itself is just text so whatever your blog name is should be printed out.

There is not explanation how to change header image…

andy, you’ll need to actually go into the template code and take out the existing header image.

Then replace it with the new image you have which needs to be hosted somewhere in order to work.

I really love this template, I’m hooked into this.. one day I decided to shift into WordPress… but I realized that this template can stand in the crowd hehe this is really presentable. It’s just a matter of time and patience to tweak. Visit my blog how it look like, somebody ask me if i am using wordpress templates.. and whoa… it’s obviously hosted by blogger. 😛

but one thing… David I have a question, I tried to change the header… but it got worse.. do you have a solution how to change the size of that header? and I guess there’s a filler/background except of that two images.. as I can see the two images have different sizes.. that’s the use of the filler I think, do you a a solution to make it only 1 image as my page header? your help is highly appreciated to make my blog a complete one. thank you so much…

@Freezebox, I’m sorry but I don’t have a solution. Each template is unique and I don’t remember exactly how to get the header to work on this template.

@belasungkawa: I think it’s because if you make multiple posts on the same day, the date only goes to one of them and rest have no dates.

i’m using this template quiet some time.. and i love the color composition… the only problem is when you post several articles with the same date….only the last you’ve posted have date… and the rest are blank.. 🙁 but i have the work around.. since we can change the date posted.. so, that’s what i did…

I downloaded the template and copy and pasted the the code but it blank. Do you know what I am doing wrong.

I pasted the code in “Eid Html” in Blogger and they and did preview and only — shows up. Please help.
