PassionDuo Blue Template

Click to enlarge PassionDuo Blue Blogger template

Here is the blue version of our latest make money blogger template first converted here at eBlog Templates. This amazing PassionDuo template for Blogger comes in three colors: red, blue, and green. The green version will eventually become available so if red or blue isn’t your thing, you might want to wait.

This template includes several popular ad formats for your blog. You get a 468 x 60 banner spot in the header, six 125 x 125 banner spots in the right sidebar, and plenty of other sidebar spots for skyscraper banners.

We’ve also included our popular sidebar widgets such as Recent Posts, Recent Comments, and the cool Feedjit (real time visitor widget). Just paste in your blog rss feed urls into the Recent Posts & Comments widgets and they’ll start working.

Unlike most other custom make money blogger templates, we’ve taken the extra step and setup the “Fonts & Colors” functionality. That means you can change all the colors and font styles easily by just using the built in Blogger section. We’ve also customized the comments section so it looks very professional as well.

PassionDuo also includes top tabs which can be added via your Blogger page element screen. The rss feed icon will automatically appear once you add your first tab so don’t be alarmed after you first install it.

Configuring the rest of this template is actually quite easy. You can swap out the ads and replace them with your own or feel free to keep the existing ones if you don’t have any to use. Make sure you check the “Expand Widget Templates” checkbox on the “Edit HTML” page within Blogger before trying to make any edits. Also make sure to backup your old template just in case you make a mistake.

Let’s start with the 468 x 60 header banner. Search for “<!-- Delete or replace with your ad -->” in the template code and the first one you come across is where you replace the ad.

The second instance of “<!-- Delete or replace with your ad -->” is for the Google AdSense code which you can either keep, replace, or just remove completely.

For the six 125 x 125 banner ads you’ll need to find “<!-- Replace with your ads -->” and update those one by one. Make sure not to delete the <li> and </li> before and after each ad otherwise it will look funny. If you don’t already have ads to use, I recommend clicking through each banner and become an affiliate. Then you can replace the affiliate codes with your own and start making money!

The theme was created for Daily Blog Tips by DesignSaurus as a WordPress theme. eBlog Templates converted this theme into Blogger which you can download for free once you register.

Anyway, is there a way to replace the Header with a logo(image) ? Cos when I tried the banner shifted to the left making the right side empty. I wanna use a logo instead of a text.

How do I make the post date to come out?

I’ve tried every possible option in blogger has given on the edit blog post page element but nothing works. I also tried different combinations of removing and putting elements within the post but still nada.

Can you help me figure out how I can make the post date to appear?

Thanks.

David on May 6, 2008, 6:52 am

@Pinoy Pro Blogger, There are no special tricks to get the date work. Just go to “settings” -> “formatting” -> “Timestamp Format” and change that.

David on May 6, 2008, 6:55 am

@cesspit86, you’d have to edit the template code if what you tried didn’t work. The ability to change the header image wasn’t part of the original template.

DOTMEDOMAINS on May 6, 2008, 8:21 am

Thanks David. I finally figured it out…

The time format should be 5/06/2008 06:42:00 PM…

Just something maybe the users of this template should know…

Thanks!

how do I ad elements to the footer section??

David on Jun 12, 2008, 12:17 pm

@Dav7, I don’t believe you can add footer elements to this template. You’ll have to edit the template code and manually add anything you’d like in the footer.

super on Jun 16, 2008, 3:14 am

I have been using this template and i am sorry to say this template is bad. There is some major error in the template coding. I have written about the problem here but David seems to have completely ignored it. Posts title just wont show at times, i was waiting for David to help but it doesnt seem likely, so i am changing my template. Next time i will try the template before going ahead with it, as this template has caused severe inconvenience to me, i will have to setup the new template from scratch, which is not a easy task in the first place.

David on Jun 17, 2008, 4:16 pm

@super, what specifically seems to be the problem?

super on Jun 18, 2008, 12:11 am

Hi,
I really like this simple template and would love to use it in my blog, but I just looked it up in that “Web page analyser” tool and it shows one error :
1 ERROR HTTP CODE:
405 Iframe #1 [Some Big URL]

Thing is the template I am using now shows the same error (which is why I’m looking for another one). Could you tell what error is this and is it anything serious (apparently not, because both my blog and this template’s demo blog open smoothly in all major browsers).

🙂

Krish on Jul 21, 2008, 11:44 pm

Major Problem 1. While using Internet Explorer 6 the post heading is invisble, untill you put the mouse over it. Similar with the posts, they also sometimes become invisible untill you put your mouse over it,

Major Problem 2. The top banner is not displayed correctly. Instead of aligning to the right it is displated to the left, just under the blog title.

However these errors are not displayed when I use Firefox.

David please please help.

Blog Step Wise on Jul 22, 2008, 12:53 am

Krish there is another error, if you write a post with the image to the left then the content to the right of the image wont be displayed.
