Revolution Lifestyle Blogger Template

After creating the coolest premium Blogger template, Revolution Church, we decided to also convert the Revolution Lifestyle theme as well! Now you can choose between two of the coolest premium Blogger templates available today.

Not only has eBlog Templates ported this over to Blogger, we’ve added some great features to really turbo-charge and make this another great premium Blogger template.

This is the second premium Blogger template we’ve released that is virtually plug and play. No images to host or have to worry about the links breaking after a few months. No mucking with the template code to change colors, add tabs, modify AdSense code, etc. We’ve designed this template with the ease of usability in mind so Bloggers of all levels can utilize the full power of this premium template. Not only do you get this amazing template but you also get the full installation video series which walks you through configuring every gadget step-by-step.

Don’t be fooled by those free Lifestyle Revolution templates that are poorly converted to blogger. They might look nice from their demo but those templates usually require you to make all the changes within the code and stop working properly after a few months. They also don’t include a step-by-step video series.

You don’t have to take our word for it though. Here’s what just a few of our many satisfied buyers had to say after purchasing and using this template:

“I absolutely LOVE this template!”Kristy
“Great job! Well worth the cost!”Lydia

Important – Please Read Before Purchasing

This template does NOT work with the older Blogger Classic layout. Please make sure you are NOT using Classic layout before purchasing this template. Most bloggers are now using the newer layout so you most likely don’t need to worry. Also, eBlog Templates is not the original designer of this template. It was originally designed by WordPress theme mastermind, Brian Gardner. We have spoken directly with Brian and with his approval, have converted it to Blogger and made it available for sale. If you are a WordPress user, you can download his theme for free without any support (only works on WordPress not Blogger).

So why do I have to pay for this template then?

The cost of this template covers the many days of labor and effort put into converting this amazing design into a premium Blogger template as well as building the step-by-step video series. Your purchase does include the complete instructional “how to install and configure” the Revolution Lifestyle Blogger template video series. If you think about it, it’s actually a small price to pay for such a functional, advanced, and professional Blogger template. Buy this premium Blogger template now!

Refund Policies

Since this is a digital product there are no refunds after payment has been made. Please make 100% sure you want this template before making the purchase. You also need to be willing to spend 30-60 minutes configuring the template before it looks like the live demo. Our free video installation series will make it easy. We want you to be successful!

Since we can’t test every single Blogger gadget (including 3rd party gadgets) we can’t promise they will all work with this template. Every blog is different and some of your existing gadgets might not be compatible which means either the gadget will need to be removed or modified accordingly. We do provide community-level support which means posting your questions as comments. The installation videos that accompany this template are designed for skills of all levels.

I would love to buy this template, but before I do I want to make sure I will not have the same problem I am having with every other tenplate I have tried to upload. Basically I keep getting the same error:
Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The document type declaration for root element type “html” must end with ‘>’.

No matter what I try, I always end up with some error. I am using new Blogger on Firefox. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

David on Jan 8, 2009, 9:52 am

@Jodie, So you have tried changing to other templates (even the default blogger ones) and you still get this error? If you upload the template as instructed in the video series, you shouldn’t get the same error.

Also, what’s your blog url? I’d like to see what gadgets you’re currently using. Usually these sort of errors relate to gadgets or the end of your template is actually missing the ‘>’ tag. Let me know.

darnell on Jan 9, 2009, 7:38 pm

This blog template is almost perfect for me! I would pay $30 for this template if I could have two sidebar columns on either side of the content (instead of grouped together on one side).

PS

Do you do customized templates? While I am fairly comfortable in designing templates, I fear that I do not have as much time as I use to in editing html/css.

If so, let me know (as I can show you a visual example of what I am looking for).

Kristy Howard on Jan 9, 2009, 8:29 pm

Absolutely LOVE this template! I’d like to customize it a bit and change the background from a color to an image… any tips?

David on Jan 10, 2009, 10:46 am

@Kristy- Glad you’re liking this template! Yes, it’s pretty easy to change the template background. You need to add a “background” line into the body {} css. Then just change the image to the one you want to use. Also take out “no-repeat” if you want the image to repeat over and over.

background: #FFFFFF url(http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh92/eblogtemplates/revolution-lifestyle/homepagetop.gif) no-repeat scroll center top;

Good luck!

David on Jan 10, 2009, 10:51 am

@darnell, I currently don’t do custom template design but we could maybe tweak this a bit. Yes, send me a visual example of what you’re looking to do and I’ll see how easy it might be.

Darnell Clayton on Jan 11, 2009, 6:10 pm

Hey David,

I hope you received my email earlier (although ironically the “info” one bounced, so I sent it to your other address).

Sharon on Jan 16, 2009, 3:51 am

Is there a way of adding a fancy footer to a blogger template esp this premium one. I mean a footer like you have at the bottom here

Kristy Howard on Jan 16, 2009, 10:04 am

Thanks, David, I changed the background to what I wanted without any trouble.

How do I go about adding an in-line frame to this blog, such as to link to an astore with Amazon?

Thanks, Kristy

David on Jan 18, 2009, 10:16 pm

@Sharon, yes you can always customize these templates but you need to know how to code. Another option is to cut and paste template code from another Blogger template but that could get hairy.

You’ll love this template if you decide to purchase it even without a fancy footer.

David on Jan 18, 2009, 10:19 pm

@Kristy, Where exactly do you want to put this in-line frame to Amazon? You trying to embed this in your sidebar?

If so, you can use a javascript/HTML gadget and paste the code in there.

You’ll most likely need to convert the code via our blogger ad code converter in order for it to work.

Love this template, it will work great for us. I have had a few problems, downloading, but have worked those kinks out. I need help with removing the header ad banner. Can you advise me? Thank You. Marleen

Marleen on Jan 25, 2009, 9:38 am

David, if I want to add other gadgets, how do I place it? I want to add followers under recent comments. Marleen

Marleen on Jan 25, 2009, 9:41 am

Never mind, I have the placement fixed, and I blocked your images from photobucket. M

Marleen on Jan 25, 2009, 10:03 am

Ok, I blocked your images and should not have done that. Sorry. Can you help me get them back? M

Marleen on Jan 25, 2009, 11:35 am

I’ve uploaded everything all over again. Still no images. I’m an idiot.

David on Jan 25, 2009, 4:09 pm

Hi Marleen- I’m not quite sure what you mean by you “blocked” the photobucket images. What exactly did you do? Did you also watch the instructional video series that was included with the premium template? Those give you a complete walk-thru of how to set everything up.

Marleen on Jan 25, 2009, 6:10 pm

David
I’m so embarrassed to have to keep asking for help. I did watch the video several times. I wanted to get the image off the header so I right clicked on it and then I clicked on “block i245 photobucket” and before you know it I did and the image was gone. Then I tried to get it back and I downloaded everything again and still no images. It took away all the images. I’m just sick. I don’t know enough to know what to do. Marleen

Marleen on Jan 26, 2009, 6:14 am

David
Ok, I realized I blocked the images, and it did not make them go away. I figured out how to unblock the images. I have them back! Now, how do I delete the ad banner header?

I cannot get the feedburner to work properly any suggestions? Do I have to upload the code again? Now, I’m very afraid to make any adjustments. I think I’m your biggest fan I’ve seen the video so many times. Marleen

kml on Jan 26, 2009, 2:22 pm

Hi David,

I have had a pretty easy time of installing this template. It’s beautiful and perfect – well worth the money spent on it.

I have the same issue as Marleen – how do I get the header ad banner out of the header banner?

I like the way it is and do not want to change the header. Just want that ad out of there.

Many thanks!
K

David on Jan 26, 2009, 9:33 pm

@kml, glad you enjoy the template! So the easiest way to just remove the header ad banner without putting anything else in there is to either delete that gadget OR edit it. I’m not sure exactly how the formatting will look if you just delete it though. If you decide to edit the gadget, just put a blank space or a   in the html/javascript box. That should do the trick. Let me know how it goes! Could you also provide your blog url? I’d love to see what you’ve done with the template. 🙂

David on Jan 27, 2009, 4:19 pm

@Marleen, you are not using the correct “feedId” in your template code. It should be something like this: feedId=1503904. Login to feedburner and then click on your feed name. Then you should have a url that looks like this “http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/dashboard?id=1231234”. The number part at the end is your feedId. Save that somewhere and now go back into your Blogger template code. Check the “expand HTML” checkbox and then search for “6ijns98h5tg8nlr21gne0tsb38” (which is the incorrect feedId you are currently using) and replace it with the feedId you just wrote down. If this is too confusing then just follow the steps in the video that explains how to add the feedburner code again but this time use the new feedId code.

It also looks like you haven’t enabled the feedburner “subscribe by email” feature. To do this, login to feedburner again and then click on “publicize” => “email subscriptions”. Scroll to the bottom of the page and “activate” this feature.

Hope this gets you squared away. btw, love your blog! This lifestyle template is a great fit for you! 🙂

David
THANK YOU!! This template is perfect for our needs. I love it more and more especially now that I have everything figured out. Your help is wonderful! Would you be interested in doing a webinar for members that want to learn about blogging? I think you would be awesome at teaching them. Again, thanks for your support. Worth every penny and more. Marleen

kml on Jan 28, 2009, 6:16 pm

Thanks, David – it worked like a charm!

Still working on setting it all up.

Many thanks!

Marleen on Jan 29, 2009, 6:52 am

We are getting rave reviews for our new blog. Thank You!!

I’ve updated the feebburner and all systems are a go.

BUT, I can’t leave well enough alone and now want to add image to the background. I read above about adding a line code. Tried it… not! It messes up my navbar. Where exactly do I add this line. By the way, you are my new best friend.

Jodie on Feb 1, 2009, 12:33 am

Hi David,

I got it up and running and now I have a few q’s. I need to add an expanadble post and it is not clear where to put the code in this template. Would you please instruct me as to where to put the code for this? Also, is there a way to move the search gadget so that I can have a longer header?

David on Feb 1, 2009, 1:00 pm

@Jodie, Did you try reading our article on how to set this up?

The search gadget is pretty well set in that position. Could you shrink down your header image so it fits better? I’d also recommend changing your adsense ads background color to green to match the rest of your layout. You will get more clicks that way since it’s blended in better. The color you want to use is 78B749.

David on Feb 1, 2009, 1:04 pm

@Marleen, glad to hear everyone loves your new blog template and your feedburner is good to go.

I like your template as is now….you sure you want to change the background to an image? Currently you should be able to easily change the color but to add an image, make sure you add the background line of code to the existing “body {}” tag. It can be a little tricky and maybe not worth it.

Marleen on Feb 1, 2009, 1:46 pm

David, you are right. I like it as it is and don’t want to mess with the background. Thank you. One thing I can’t get to work is the favicon. I’ve done exactly like you said. I’ll try it a few more times and let you know. Marleen

Jodie on Feb 1, 2009, 2:29 pm

Thanks David, I had followed the article but now my posts are displaying the Intro part twice! When I inspect the code there is some extra stuff in there, but when I delete it, all the gadgets disappear. I am confused becuase it worked properly before I used this new template. Also, I know you are not responsible for feedburner at all, but when I try to subscribe it says that my account does not have that feature enabled. Yet, when I go to my feedburner account it shows as active, and also shows me the “reach” that i had tried to subscribe. I suspect that I may have the same problem as Marleen since my feedburner url is http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/dashboard?id=2m1hvdhcofmnjvrm5q5rvci9ko. Unfortunately I cannot find a smaller number anywhere!
Thanks for the info on the color scheme. I am leaving all the aesthetic stuff until the end as I would like to get the major stuff out of the way.

David on Feb 2, 2009, 8:55 pm

@Jodie, you need to go into Feedburner and activate the “email subscription” feature. It’s separate and is shown in the install video how to do this. Your Feedburner id is also incorrect. I think since I haven’t migrated my feeds over to Google yet I have a different feed id format. So login to feedburner then go to “Publicize” => “Email Subscriptions” (on the left hand side) => “Subscription Management” (below the left hand link you just clicked on). Now you’ll be presented with a few text boxes. Look in the first one and search for “input type="hidden" value="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~e?ffid=“. That’s one id you’ll potentially need but not your feed id.

Now if the box below that one, you’ll see your FeedId here. It’s in the “Subscription Link Code” box and you’ll see code like this “http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/emailverifySubmit?feedId=“. Whatever is after the “=” should be your feed id.

Hope that makes sense!

thank you very much.nice template

David on Feb 5, 2009, 6:34 pm

@nestoriko, there are many other free templates available on our site if you don’t have enough money for a premium blogger template. Feedback from many buyers so far has been positive regarding the price and quality.

Mint on Feb 7, 2009, 5:59 am

Hi David,
I want to purchase this template. Is paypal an option? Also when I view the both your paid templates (http://revolution-lifestyle.blogspot.com/2009/01/5-blogging-tips-to-make-money-online.html), I get this error in IE 7

Line: 570
Chr: 13
Error: Invalid character
Code: 0

Can you resolve it so that I can purchase it at the earliest.

Mint on Feb 7, 2009, 6:00 am

Ok Paypal is an option. Cool. Can you tell more aboout the error i mentioned in my earlier post and how to resolve it?

Kristy Howard on Feb 12, 2009, 8:29 pm

Hello David, is there a way to add a 3rd (left) column to this blog? I’ve done this before to another blog template but am not having luck with this one. Thanks for any help you can offer. Kristy

David on Feb 13, 2009, 5:51 pm

@Kristy, I’m sure it’s possible but I’ve never tried it. If you do give it a shot, make sure to backup your existing template! Good luck.

jakeorhodes on Feb 14, 2009, 1:01 pm

Hi David.

I’ve just tried uploading the template after following the video instructions and I keep getting the following error message…

“We were unable to save your template

Please correct the error below and submit your template again.

The new widget id “NavLinks” is invalid for type: LinkList”

Any advice?

David on Feb 16, 2009, 11:31 pm

@jakeorhodes, I’m not sure what’s going on there. On some occasions, your older widgets might conflict but this just sounds like Blogger doesn’t like the name of the widget. In the template code, did you try renaming the “NavLinks” widget id to something else like “NavLinks2”?

jakeorhodes on Feb 17, 2009, 5:42 pm

Yeah I’ve tried renaming the widget a bunch of different things, with numbers and without, with spaces and without. I still get the same error message though, only with the new widget id obviously.

I’ve tried using different browsers to upload the template too, that didn’t help.

jakeorhodes on Feb 17, 2009, 6:31 pm

I’ve solved it! For anyone else who has the same problem the trick the way to bypass it is to name the widget “widgettype1”.

So if the widget you’re having trouble with is a LinkList then name the LinkList “LinkList1” without the speech marks. The coding line will look like…

David on Feb 17, 2009, 10:35 pm

@jakeorhodes, thanks for sharing your solution and glad you’re up and running now. Enjoy the template!

Angie on Feb 18, 2009, 1:28 pm

I’m having the exact same problem as jakeorhodes, except no amount of name changing helps. I thought I got it to work, but then there was just no navigation bar.

One of my reasons for buying this template was that I liked the set up, but especially the navigation bar. I hope you can offer up a way to fix the issue.

David on Feb 18, 2009, 10:44 pm

@Angie, I’m sorry to hear it’s not working for you. I just found out today that Blogger has made a recent change which is causing more harm than good. You might want to try their recommendations and see if that fixes it. I want to make sure you get your new template working so let me know how it goes.

haineni on Feb 18, 2009, 10:57 pm

David — I sent you an email about it.

Thanks!

David on Feb 19, 2009, 11:49 pm

@Angie, I didn’t get your email. Did you submit it via the “contact us” form? That’s the best way. Please resend so I can help you. I will be out of town this weekend and won’t be able to get back to you until Sunday eve.
